Standard cotton interiors and sweatbands create friction with every step, contributing to breakage, frizz, and moisture loss over time.
The interior is lined entirely in 6A mulberry silk (22-momme) and treated with silver ions to create a smoother, fresher environment inside the hat.
That means:
Less friction against strands and the hairline
A lining that stays smooth and gentle through everyday wear
Full silk coverage across the crown and sweatband
On the outside, Cotton Twill gives the hat a classic, breathable finish made for everyday wear.

Why BOLLIDE Exists
I didn't set out to start a hat company. I started BOLLIDE because I watched my wife struggle to find a hat that didn't damage her hair.
Every "luxury" hat we bought had the same flaw: a rough cotton sweatband that caused friction, breakage, and frizz. It didn't matter if the hat cost $50 or $500 the inside was always the same.
So, I engineered the solution. I replaced the abrasive cotton with medical-grade, silver-ion silk. The result is the first hat designed to treat your hair, not just cover it.

Yes. The full silk crown and sweatband are designed to reduce friction across curly, coily, wavy, color-treated, fine, fragile, and protective styles.

Spot clean the Cotton Twill exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Lightly steam the silk interior to refresh it, and store the hat in its silk-lined dust bag between wears.
